My job as your doula isn’t to save you from your circumstances. I can’t tell your doctor what to do or what not to do. I cannot take your labor pains away. I cannot make medical decisions for you. But what I can and will do with great enthusiasm is support you through your birth journey. I can teach you and your partner how to advocate your preferences in a medical setting. I can amplify your voice, and I can center your preferences through my skills and training. I provide coping mechanisms for pain, physical relief, and the confidence that you have everything you need. I help your partner to support you and support your partner as well. Labor takes a long time. I’m just here to help.
